Terry Irving

Terry Irving, author of Courier, wrote a very positive A Kill in the Morning review, praising the scenario, the characters, the action and the plot… everything except the cover, which he hated for some reason. Still, I guess that’s better than liking the cover and hating the novel!

Amazon Reviews

The Amazon reviews of A Kill in the Morning are very good too. Here’s a few:

This book has it all: thrills, intrigue, and some unexpectedly moving moments.

I was completely absorbed in the alternate world and couldn’t put the thing down by the second half.

The real star of the show is the villain who is the most engaging character in the book by a long way and a truly evil genius, and naturally completely insane. He certainly gives Blofeld a run for his money in the villain stakes. His rants are fantastic.

A Kill in the Morning feels like the fifth or sixth offering from an established thriller master, like Nesbo or Deighton, not a début. The writing is on point, and the author has mastered the X-factor that makes an unputdownable thriller.

I love this book and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Great characters and villains, great and exciting action sequences. I am a total convert. I hope we hear some more from Mr Shimmin soon.
