My minimalist, typographically based inspirational posters for writers and posters about editing and rewriting were very popular. It’s been a while, but now it’s time for a third set of posters. These new ones concentrate on the psychological issues many writers have with writing, issues commonly characterised as ‘writer’s block’. You can click on each of the posters about writer’s block for a larger version.

Afraid of Criticism?

I’ve written several articles such as dealing with criticism as an author and tips for having your writing critiqued about how fear of criticism is one of the root causes of writer’s block. Those articles give suggestions on how to learn to cope with criticism, suggest that learning from critique is vital to progression as a writer, and abandoning fear of criticism is an important part of writers producing their best work.
